About Nucpaedia
Nucpaedia is an independent educational reference for nuclear medicine and molecular imaging, written for residents, practising physicians, technologists and physicists. All text, figures and illustrations are original.
How pages are checked
- Clinical statements are checked against current society guidelines and procedure standards (listed on the Guidelines page) and against the primary literature.
- Numbers that affect patients — administered activities, patient preparation, imaging times and therapy doses — are checked line by line against the source document, and the source is named next to the value.
- Full articles carry their own reference list. Pages still being written are held back rather than published with gaps.
- Pages are updated when guidelines change; the date of the source is given so readers can judge how current it is.
Images and patients
Illustrations are conceptual drawings, not diagnostic images. No patient data is stored anywhere on the site.
