Chest tightness walking uphill in a 63-year-old man
History
63-year-old man with 3 months of central chest tightness walking uphill, relieved by rest. Type 2 diabetes, hypertension, ex-smoker. Resting ECG normal; echocardiogram shows normal left ventricular size and function. Cannot exercise adequately because of knee osteoarthritis. Referred for regadenoson stress / rest ⁹⁹ᵐTc-tetrofosmin myocardial perfusion imaging (1-day protocol): is there ischaemia, and how much?
