Complete heart block in a 46-year-old woman
History
46-year-old woman with biopsy-proven pulmonary sarcoidosis (3 years, untreated) admitted with syncope and complete heart block; a temporary pacing wire is in place, so cardiac MRI cannot be performed. Echocardiogram: LVEF 50% with thinning of the basal septum. Referred for rest myocardial perfusion and cardiac FDG PET: cardiac sarcoidosis? The patient was asked to fast from midnight.
