Painless rectal bleeding in a 3-year-old boy
History
3-year-old boy with two episodes of painless, dark red rectal bleeding in 24 h. Haemoglobin 78 g/L (normal 3 months ago); stable after transfusion; abdomen soft and non-tender. No barium or endoscopic studies yet. Premedicated with an H2-receptor antagonist and fasted before the study. Request: Meckel’s diverticulum?
